A last ditch effort for Sharif-Obama meeting

By Raza Ruman

Islamabad, Sept 28 (pakdestiny.com) Close aides to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif are putting up a last minute effort to arrange his meeting with US President Barrak Obama on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The aides have been lobbying for months with the US administration for a ‘small’ meeting between the two, but got no success so far.
While Obama is meeting with his Indian counterpart Dr Manmohan Singh on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, ignoring Mr Shrif will be very humiliating for the premier who claims to have good relations with the US.
Let’s see if Mr Sharif returns by only attending the session and hearing the ‘speech’ of Obama or gets a chance to talk to him firmly on various issues including drones. – Pak Destiny
