Arvind Kejrival expresses gratitude to Ghulam Ali for choosing Dehli for concert

Chief of India’s Aam Aadmi Party (Aap) Arvind Kejriwal today expressed gratitude to acclaimed Pakistani classical singer Ghulam Ali for agreeing to hold a concert in New Delhi.

He also expressed pleasure to have talked to the legendary ghazal maestro.

Earlier, Ghulam Ali’s concert was cancelled by organizers on Wednesday, following threats by Shiv Sena. He was scheduled to perform today at Shanmukhanand Hall at Matunga, Mumbai.

”Such controversies spoil people’s ‘sur’(note). I am not angry, I am hurt. In love, such things don’t happen,” he said. “Atmosphere is not conducive for me to perform at the moment,” said Ghulam Ali.

After such a maltreatment of cultural ambassadors in a country boasting itself to be at par with modern trends, Arvind Kejriwal had extended his support to Ghulam Ali inviting him to stage a concert in Delhi.
