(Pak Destiny) BOL TV committed a big blunder on the third day of its launch in its frantic effort to label rest of the media ‘anti-Pakistan’. So much so it labelled rights activist Marvi Sirmed RAW agent.
BOL made the blunder saying Marvi is an agent of the Indian intelligence agency RAW. Former Geo anchor fake Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain hosted that program. Soon the screen grab and video clips were viral on social media condemning both BOL and the fake doctor for labeling someone RAW agent.
Mumbashir Lucman tried to do the damage control . “Marvi Sirmed, I am very sorry and I assure you that InshAllah we will ensure that your picture or that of any patriotic Pakistani is not screened in a manner that we did. I hope you will excuse me.”
On this Marvi tweeted: “Thank you @mubasherlucman and @BOLNETWORK for this clarification and apology. Much appreciated.”
Earlier, Aamir Liaquat kept hammering Dawn for Cyril Almeida story on civilian-army rift and New York Times Xact/BOL fake degree scandal in which its CEO Shoiab Sheikh is still facing the fake degree case. Before BOL makes any mark on Pak media it is embroiled in silly controversies. – Pak Destiny
