Islamabad, Oct 23 (www.padestiny.com) Pakistani nuclear physicist Dr. Pervez Hoodbhoy has ben fired from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) after his differences with the management over introducing a subject “Science and modren age’s requirement”.

Hoodbhoy who after retirement from the Quad-i-Azam University Islamabad had joined the LUMS is considered to be a ‘good teacher’ in science and religon.
Sources said Hoodbhoy insisted that he wanted to introduce the new subject in the Political Science course but the management refused. The management then without issuing a show-cause over the issue fired him abruptly.
The sources said since the LUMS was no more a ‘modren’ institution, a leftist and a ‘controversial’ person like Hoodbhoy had no place in such an institution.
The management however did not give any reason to sack Hoodbhoy. (www.pakdestiny.com)
