Fakhr-e-Alam is one of the most talented media personalities in Pakistan. Not only is he an actor, singer, Vj and TV show host, he is one of the most popular celebrities of Pakistan. But wait, he hopes to add more to the list of achievements, with a little daredevil touch to it. Yes, Fakhr-e-Alam has decided to fly around the world with the least flying hours experience in hand!

Speaking to a local English daily, Alam said that he wanted to dedicate the performance to the brave soldiers of Pakistan and the resilient nation.

Behind this intention to create a record, lies Fakhr’s passion. Alam disclosed that ever since he was a young man, he was fond of airplanes and had a passion for flying. However, it seemed that fate had something else planned for the star and though immensely popular in his field of work, his desire to roam the skies never flailed.

Titling his mission as Mission Parwaaz, Fakhr-e-Alam looks to travel the globe in a small turbo prop airplane, with the least flying experience.

“Unlike other countries, Pakistan does not have its name in the general aviation history. This is my tribute to the brave soldiers and the resilient nation of Pakistan.”

“I would be the first person to achieve this feat as previously, pilots have attempted such a record with at least 250 hours of flying time; a fact which has been confirmed by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) in Switzerland,” he said.

Fakhr-e-Alam’s journey is slated to commence from Orlando, US and he will cover an impressive number of 14 countries and 23 cities. Among these countries are China, Iceland, Greenland, Singapore, Canada, Pakistan etc.

However, it may not be as easy as it seems, since prior to Mission Parwaaz, Fakhr has some dietary changes to make, it seems.

“I have to lose around 45 pounds (20.4 kg) in order to accommodate more fuel in the auxiliary tanks,” he said.

With four months remaining for his mission to commence, we wish Fakhr-e-Alam all the best! You know what they say, sky is the limit!
