Today is the 2nd death anniversary of legendary folk singer Reshma

Second death anniversary of folk singer Reshma is being observed today.

She was born in village Loha, in Bikaner, Rajasthan, to a Gypsy family in 1947.

Reshma, who died of throat cancer, was best known for her Punjabi folk songs. She was called “Nightingale of the Desert”.

She was awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz by the President for her best performance.
