(Pak Destiny) Finally Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari is setting foot on the soil of Pakistan after the departure of retired Gen Raheel Sharif and his team.

Zardari today ended his one and a half years exile and returned to Karachi… in the safe hands of he PPP Sindh government.

After the hard-hitting speech against the military establishment, Mr Zardari chose to go into self-exile in Dubai about one-and-a-half years ago as a clear message was reportedly given to him. Now the environment is conducive after the depature of Ggen Raheel and Mr Zardari is back,” a top source in the political circle told Pak Destiny.

The former president had left for Dubai in mid-2015 soon after accusing the military establishment of overstepping its domain. “Army chiefs come and go every three years but the political leadership is here to stay. We know the country better and we know how to run its affairs. If you do not stop, I will come out with a list of accused generals since Pakistan’s creation,” he had said.

After his departure there was a word around that he might not return till the completion of the tenure of Gen Sharif. “Now Gen Sharif  is retired and all his team is reshuffled it Zardari is back to play political cards sitting in Pakistan now as elections are just a year away,” he said.        Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has already welcomed Zardari’s decision to return Pakistan. Nawaz feels himself more strengthened in the presence of Zardari. Both have agreed to remain loyal to the governments of each other and would not let any one like Imran Khan to threaten the system. — Pak Destiny
