A lawyer is fined ‘heavily’ for challenging move to provide bullet-proof car to ‘protocol-hungry’ Iftikhar Chaudhry

Islamabad, Jan 4 (Pak Destiny) Is it believable – A Pakistani lawyer has been fined (Rs100,000) by Islamabad High Court for challenging the move to provide a bullet-proof car to controversial former chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry.
Isn’t it a big shame that advocate Riaz Ahmed is fined for ‘just’ filing a petition against the move to ‘oblige’ the former CJ, Mr Chaudhry.
The protocol hungry Iftikhar is reportedly now using his ‘judicial clout’ to get what he wants for himself after retirement.
Today Justice Aziz Siddiqi of LHC fined advocate Ahmed for challenging the move to give bullet-proof car to Iftikhar tomorrow any lawyer may be penalised for filing any petition deemed not fit under the given criteria, who knows.
This is perhaps one of the unique fine imposed on anyone in the love of a man who is dying for ‘official protocol’ even after retirement.
Iftikhar is acting like an underworld or mafia king operating even outside the ring. He should better live a simple life or if he is so keen to get security and protocol he should better ask his son Arsalan to give him some money from his ‘hard-earned’ over Rs1billion for it. – Pak Destiny
