Did a bomb found under Hamid Mir’s car carry a message or an effort to gain sympathies?

Islamabad, Nov 26 News Desk (www.pakdestiny.com) Did an improvised explosive device found planted under anchor Hamid Mir’s car carry a ‘message’ for him and his group or it was an effort to get cheap publicity and sympathies?
The driver spotted the IED after Mir returned to his home in Islamabad from a nearby market on Monday. The bomb, hidden in a black bag and packed into a tin, contained a locally made explosive, a detonator and a battery, the channel reported. It aired footage of a member of the bomb disposal squad defusing the bomb. No group claimed responsibility for the attempt on ‘the life of Mir’.
A senior journalist comments that those who had planted the device could have exploded it as well. “In fact they have conveyed a message to Mr Mir for his stance over different issues,” he said.
Another TV journalist says the Geo group often does such things to gain cheap popularity. However, agencies or Taliban could be behind it as this possibility cannot be ruled out under the current circumstances. – (www.pakdestiny.com)
