Over Rs500million spent on Tahirul Qadri’s show, Pak media claims its lion’s share

Islamabad, Dec 25 (www.pakdestiny.com) Muhammad Ishaq alias Allama Dr Tahirul Qadri has reportedly spent Rs500 million on his advertisement campaign and public meeting at Minar-i-Pakistan, according an official of an intelligence agency.

Although there are conflicting reports about the source of fundings to Qadri – agencies or donations – there is no dispute with regard to the whooping amount spent on his campaign.
The PML-N even claims over Rs1 billion has been spent on his campaign and public meeting.
Before coming to Pakistan Qadri spent two months in India to generate funds which are primarily meant for charitable purposes but not on ‘self-projection’.
Pakistani media has also claimed their major share in the ‘loot’ of Qadri’s money. Major channels like Geo, Express, Dunya and Aaj even charged huge money from him to telecast his over two hours speech, which is a shame.
The real name of Tahirul Qadri is Muhammad Ishaq. Qadri belongs to Jhang and there has been a question mark whether he has given up his Canadian nationality. – (PakDestiny)
