Pressure mounting on serving Supreme Court judges to resign on taking plots

Islamabad, July 4 (http://www.pakdestiny.com) Will the serving judges of Supreme Court resign on ‘moral grounds’ for receiving two plots in Islamabad from Gen Musharraf to legalize his rule.

“To me it looks another NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance) which the former military man carved out for judges and bureaucrats and successfully implemented to extend his rule,” Public Accounts Committee chairman Nadeem Afzal Gondal said.

“The PAC will review the policy under which this favour was extended only to a selected lot,” Gondal said. “It doesn’t make sense why people need more than one residential plot in one city,” questioned the PAC chairman.

Those who calling the PPP leadership especially Yousuf Raza Gilani to step down on moral grounds will they step down after this shameful revelation. The apex court has been taking action against the NRO beneficiaries what about those among its ranks who had taken favours like that of NRO from Musharraf.

“Among the serving Supreme Court judges are those who had legalized Musharraf regime and now they have become champions of democracy.”

“A tainted judge has no right to try a tainted politician.”
