Embassy Festival 2025 in The Hague — Pakistani stall captivates visitors with cultural showcase

The annual Embassy Festival 2025 in The Hague, Netherlands, was held in a spectacular display of colours, music, and cultural diversity. The historic streets of Lange Voorhout were illuminated with stalls from over 50 embassies around the world, featuring traditional cuisines, artistic performances, and cultural exhibitions. Thousands of local and international visitors attended the event, creating memorable experiences at this global cultural carnival.

Pakistani stall draws widespread attention

The active participation of the Pakistani Embassy added vibrancy to the festival.

The representatives included Jamal Nasir, Muhammad Junaid (First Secretary), Amjad (Private Secretary), Nadeem Malik, and Muhammad Shafiq as their warm hospitality, friendly demeanour, and personal interactions with visitors highlighted a positive and vibrant image of Pakistan on the global stage.

Historic lange voorhout hosts multicultural harmony

During the festival, Lange Voorhout transformed into a multicultural carnival. Embassies from around the world provided an opportunity for visitors to learn about different cultures firsthand and promote international friendship and harmony.

Activity Passport: A blend of education and entertainment

This year, organizers introduced the “Activity Passport”. Visitors collected stamps from various stalls and had the chance to win prizes. This innovative initiative made the festival not only more engaging but also educational and informative.

Pakistani Stall: A showcase of culture and handicrafts

The Pakistani stall attracted visitors of all ages. A special section for women displayed traditional attire, jewellery, and handicrafts. The stall’s beautiful décor and inviting atmosphere highlighted Pakistan’s culture on an international platform.

The Chairman of the Intercultural Progressive Organization, Khawaja Muhammad Saeed, suggested that next year, the stall should also feature traditional clothing for men, particularly shalwar kameez, as well as traditional outfits for children. The Embassy warmly welcomed this proposal.

Games and recreation at the Pakistani stall

The Pakistani Embassy organized a Ludo Championship for children and young people. A large number of children participated, and winners were awarded prizes and certificates. This activity not only provided entertainment but also encouraged social interaction and promoted recreational activities.

Sadequain Paintings: A global cultural fusion

Dr. Salman Ahmed, Chairman of the Sadequain Foundation USA, announced that he will provide 50 high-quality reproductions of Sadequain’s artworks for an exhibition in the Netherlands. He will personally attend and bring original artworks for a spectacular Sadequain Art Exhibition. This initiative will further highlight Pakistan’s fine arts and cultural heritage on an international level.

Bridging  cultures and promoting global harmony
