Islamabad, June 30 (http://www.pakdestiny.com) After allegedly making and receiving multi-millions from property tycoon Malik Riaz Arsalan, son of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhry, is now threatening National Accountability Bureau by misusing again his father’s authority.
Ironically his father, the CJ, is keeping a mum over his son’s daring acts by misusing his name, creating doubts whether the CJ really does not know about the activities of his son or he is part of it.
In a latest move Arsalan wrote a letter to the NAB chief threatening him not to appoint ‘particular’ persons to investigate his alleged corruption.
Attorney General Irfan Qadir had asked the NAB that Supreme Court directed him to ask it form an investigation team to probe corruption of Arsalan. “We will not succumb to Arsalan’s pressure rather we will present his letter to the SC,” Qadir says.
“Arsalan instead of offering his unconditional cooperation to the investigation team has started threatening the NAB and even FIA to constitute a team of his choice.”
Will the CJ take suo motu of his son’s threatening letter?
Malik Riaz has accused Arsalan of receiving Rs340 millions from him on the promise that his father (CJ) would decide his property cases in his favour. Besides, reportedly there are Rs930 million in the bank account of Arsalan which has not been frozen. – (http://www.pakdestiny.com)
