(Pakdestiny.com) Unannounced ‘caretaker’ Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif faced first ‘major incident’ when her ‘huge’ security motorcade allegedly harassed Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan’s sister Dr Uzma Khan in Lahore.
“Dr Uzma Khan, along with her children, was on her way to Friday prayers when an Elite force vehicle stopped her car and misbehaved with her,” Ms Khan said, adding the security vehicles of Maryam protocol was coming wrong way. “The security personnel also pointed their guns at me and other family members. I will not be registering a First Information Report (FIR) in protest as it is of no use.
“Are people who do not have protocol and security details not worth anything? Lahore policemen beat her sons at the very same place (Gulberg) a year ago,” Ms Khan said.
However, PML-N’s official Twitter account posted a tweet which claimed Maryam Nawaz is in Islamabad.
In 2015, two nephews of Imran Khan, were arrested from Lahore’s Race Course area after they allegedly hurled abuses at a traffic warden who stopped them for violating traffic rules.
The two were released on bail with a surety bond of Rs 50,000 each, as their lawyer claimed all sections are bailable offenses.
The lawyer had further alleged that the accused were tortured while in police custody. A magistrate had ordered a medical examination to verify the claims.
CAA claims that her plane landed at Lahore airport at 16:30 whereas only 2 commercial flights landed Lahore airport during afternoon timings at Lahore on 1st July; PK651 landed at 13:09 and PK653 landed at 18:00. Did she come by chartered flight? Strong dependent of dad who can afford such flights.

So she doesn’t know who harrased her and is blaming it on anyone
Pretty much.
Why is she being referred to as a ‘Caretaker’ PM, when she’s not even a member herself? Or is it just that they omitted the word ‘of’, implying she’s the kind of aide that follows her dad around everywhere?
Because the perception is that she is the defacto PM in the absence of Nawaz. Also, she’s the one heading PMLN’s/government’s media wing i.e. from political ads to bashing PTI/PPP/Imran Khan etc
“..perception is that she is the defacto PM”
But that perception’s not actually correct, right? And how widespread is it, that she practically wields that kind of power?
What’s the normal, proper line of succession? Or, given the General’s international exposure, is it safe to assume that’s (more informally) yet another of his many hats, to ensure political stability in lieu of a more formal process?
Seeing as we follow the British system, we do not have a deputy Prime minister, so the next in line is the Home Minister followed by the Defense Minister. So Chaudry Nisar Ali Khan should be interm PM instead of Maryam Nawaz, with Khawaja Asif being his deputy.
It’s pretty widespread and if you check the news channels, you’ll only see 2 names popping up with regards to who is calling the shots these days i.e. Ishaq Dar and Maryam.
Also, Nawaz is prepping Maryam to take over once he leaves so there’s that.
Is BS news??? If she isn’t in Lahore how is it her fault?
