“Disgrace me or even kill me but please don’t separate from the Pakistan Cricket Board as I want to streamline the affairs of Pakistani cricket” perhaps this is the last wish of of TV anchor Najam Sethi which is being fulfilled by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The fans of Sethi are perturbed over his ‘lust’ for the PCB chairman post. They are at loss to understand as why he wants to stick to this position despite so much criticism and bad name he has earned because of this.
But it seems Sethi is stranger to the word ‘humiliation’. Otherwise he continued commanding respect through his talk show on Geo TV. Many times the Pakistani courts booted him out but on each occasion he got his way back with the help of the PML-N guys at the helm of affairs.
“Is it protocol, foreign tours, money or what else Sethi is after being PCB chairman.” Will he spare sometime and tell his fans through PakDestiny as why he is ready to embrace all kind of disgrace but not quitting this post.
Earlier today Sethi was removed from his post and will serve as a member of the PCB’s Board of Governors until fresh elections to appoint a new chief are held, the government announced.
Sethi would now be eligible to contest the elections for the post of PCB chairman.
According to Irfanullah Khan, a government legal advisor, Justice (R) Jamshed Ali Shah has been named as the acting chairman of the cricket board for a duration of 30 days during which he will also serve as an election commissioner.
Within weeks time after the elections for PCB chairman, Sethi will be back. The PML-N is ready to go any extend to fulfill the wish of Sethi.
