Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai and Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio will share the stage for the Global Citizen Festival on September 26.

Ever since she survived a near-fatal shooting incident with the Taliban, Malala Yousafzai has met with various celebrities and influential people. Malala Yousafzai will get to meet and share the stage with Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio, on September 26 for the Global Citizen Festival event.

Organizers for the event announced numerous activists and prominent personalities that would appear on the occasion at Central Park’s great lawn. The list of prominent attendees would include Malala Yousafzai, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bono, Richard Branson, Ban Ki-Moon, Bill and Melinda Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg. Other business luminaries and dignitaries will also be present on the occasion.

The one-day festival aims to combat poverty, inequality, and climate change throughout the world. The crowd will be thoroughly entertained throughout the event as co-hosts for the Global Citizen Festival include Stephen Colbert, Hugh Jackman, Kerry Washington, Salma Hayek, Olivia Wilde, and Deborra-Lee Funess. Plenty of musical entertainment has also been lined up, with artist such as Beyoncé, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, and Pearl Jam roped in to enchant audiences.
