MOONIS Elahi -- the man who prefers to face fake cases by the Sharifs regime but refuses to leave Imran Khan --

MOONIS Elahi — the man — who prefers to face ‘fake cases’ but refuses to leave ousted prime minister Imran Khan in this testing time.

There was immense pressure on young Moonis to leave Khan and join hands with the Sharifs. But he appeared strong enough to face challenges in the wake of his decision to continue his political journey along with Imran Khan.

His cousin Salik Hussain surprised the Chaudhry family by boarding the ship of Shehbaz Sharif and became part of his cabinet. Moonis had warned Salik of not trusting the Sharifs but because of lack of political experience he (Salik) made a decision no worthy of the Chaudhry family of Gujrat.

Imran Khan openly as praised Moonis for standing by him in this testing time… calling him a trust worthy friend.

As all efforts of the Sharif brothers to take Moonis and his father Parvez Elahi on board did not bear fruit, the man sitting in London (Nawaz Sharif) ordered interior minister Rana Sanaullah to use the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against Moonis. Subsequently, a money laundering case was instituted against him to tell him ‘this is a price for sticking to Imran Khan.’

Former federal minister Moonis Elahi put up a brave face and moved a special banking court that granted him interim pre-arrest bail till July 14.

Mr Moonis is optimistic that PTI-PMLQ alliance will grab all seats of by-polls sending ‘selected’ chief minister Hamza Shehbaz home.

As the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI)’s popularity graph is going upward, the PML-N is worried over the outcome of 20 seats of Punjab Assembly on April 17 by-polls. Mr Moonis is optimistic that PTI-PMLQ alliance will grab all seats of by-polls sending ‘selected’ chief minister Hamza Shehbaz home. Moonis has called Hamza ‘kirli’declaring his days as CM are numbered.

Salik, the son of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain,  should read a tweet of Mr Moonis in which he uploaded some lines from the book of his (Salik) father reminding how Ch Shujaat talked about the hypocrisy of the Sharif brothers.

In his book ‘Such to ya Hai’, Ch Shujaat said: “Nawaz Sharif had pressured me to book PPP’s Asif Ali Zardari in a narcotics case when I was federal interior minister.” In 2011, Mr Zardari had confirmed this by saying: “Had Chaudhry Shujaat got me booked in narcotics case, I would not have become president of Pakistan.”

There was immense pressure on young Moonis to leave Khan and join hands with the Sharifs.

The PML-Q chief talks about betrayals by Nawaz Sharif on a number of occasions. Mentioning Mr Sharif’s first visit to his residence, he writes: “Young Nawaz Sharif first came to see my father Chaudhry Zahoor Elahi during an election campaign. Nawaz said his father wanted to give funds for the election campaign. Parvez Elahi told him that Chaudhry Zahoor Elahi did not need any funds. Upon this, Nawaz left.” — PAK DESTINY
