(Pak Destiny) Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Najam Sethi has requested Prime Minister in-waiting Imran Khan through a common friend that he is willing to quit his post provided he does not initiated a probe against him in the National Accountability Bureau.
A source who has the knowledge of this development told Pak Destiny that Sethi through his common friend conveyed to Khan that it would be quite embarrassing for him to send him home after assuming the charge of prime minister so it is better that if he (Sethi) himself resigns and no probe is initiated in NAB.
Khan had accused Sethi of 35 punctures in 2013 polls to favour Nawaz Sharif to form government
The source said Khan has not replied so far. “However, if Khan made any compromise he will be subjected to severe criticism,” he said. Sethi’s wife Jugnu Mohsin, an independent MPA-elect from Okara is already trying hard to save the position of her husband.
