LAHORE: Director FIA Lahore Ali Zia has honoured Irfan Khan, SHO FIA Banking Circle Lahore, with the Best Officer Award in recognition of his outstanding performance.
The award marks another achievement for Khan and reflects his continued hard work and commitment to tackling financial crimes and corruption.
As SHO of the Banking Circle, Khan deals with a particularly challenging form of crime — white-collar corruption, where illegal money can move through bank accounts, businesses and complex financial transactions, often leaving victims and losses hidden from public view.
White-collar crime may lack the visibility of conventional crime, but its impact can be far greater. Corruption drains resources, undermines fair business, weakens institutions and erodes public confidence.
The fight, therefore, is not simply about catching individuals; it is about following the money, exposing financial networks and protecting the integrity of institutions.
Khan’s consecutive recognition highlights the importance of professional and persistent investigation in this battle.
His latest award is not only a personal honour but also a reminder that combating corruption requires officers willing to pursue the money trail wherever it leads.
