The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has initiates probe into Punjab College alleged on campus rape case of disinformation.
The FIA Cyber Crime Circle Lahore has initiated action against those involved in spreading disinformation through social media about the alleged incident.
The FIA launched this action following a complaint lodged by the principal of the private college.
The investigative team has begun identifying individuals involved in spreading disinformation on social media platforms and creating a law and order situation.
All available resources will be utilized to identify and ensure strict punishment for those guilty of spreading disinformation.

The seven-member inquiry team is headed by the Deputy Director.
“The accounts and individuals, as well as the propaganda cell, who deliberately spread a false story and attempted to disrupt law and order, will now have to provide evidence. I hope they won’t run away this time and will come forward. I have made it clear several times that no unrest will be allowed in Punjab,” Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari said on Tuesday.
“Political vultures should have mercy on girls and avoid to politicize this incident,x she said.
Bokhari said the parents of the girls deny that any incident occurred. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has formed a committee to investigate the incident, which will present a report within 48 hours.
. While speaking during a session of the Punjab Assembly, Azma Bokhari mentioned that there were three girls at the college with the same name, and concerned authorities visited their homes. The parents denied that any such incident took place. The guard has been detained.
. She added that the entire hospital record has been checked, and the parents have confirmed that nothing happened to their daughter. They asked not to defame them, explaining that the girl was injured after falling down the stairs. She stated that if any affected girl comes forward, they are ready to take action against the culprits.
. She criticized the allegations of assault against the girl, recalling that similar accusations were made in Kyrgyzstan. She questioned who should be held accountable, stating that action can only be taken after a medical report.
The provincial minister condemned the use of a girl for political purposes, describing these individuals as political vultures who seek to exploit tragedies for their agendas. She urged those defaming the girl to meet her father, who, along with her uncle, is pleading for their daughter’s dignity to be preserved. Bokhari lamented that since yesterday, the entire country has been involved in publicizing this incident, turning the girl’s situation into a spectacle on social media and in the assembly. PAK DESTINY
