Justice Mian Saqib Nisar is an institution in himself.
He is known for his immense interest in legal education and constitutional law; but the story does not end here.
Saqib Nisar has earned more prominence by doing the real justice with the office he holds. As supreme his chair is, his work for justice has crossed more leaps. He is the man who dared muddling the dominion of those, who considered themselves untouchables. He launched a momentous campaign to correct the court system in Pakistan and ensured that people seeking justice should not see it happening from heaven but in their lives. Over the years, judiciary was taking place parallel to those institutions where the hope of a common man perishes away in yearning from justice. This man came out as a ray of hope for common people, destitute women and for Pakistan. He has bagged many cases that required courage and real will power to sustain resistance. He stood firmly in the way of corruption being done by institutions as well as by individuals. He ensured that accountability holds for all, that justice is seek-able and it can prevail. He remained oblivious to every threat and criticism launched in his way to retard his motivation but he kept his pace to meet the insurmountable challenges, most of them he faced alone. He stepped into unfathomable cases and ensured that real culprits meet their fate. He stepped out of his comfort zone to serve Pakistan in true sense by taking responsibility of dam construction which was not seriously thought over by people who were in the helm of affairs and took the responsibility himself, which he could have easily delegated to someone else.
A knight without a traditional armour but fight for cause; a cause which has patriotic origin; humanitarian origin and philanthropist origin. A veracious legend which is seldom found. He became a sign of hope for people who were desperately in need of a savior.
Justice Nisar who retired today will be remembered for long in giving hope to hopeless, reinstating confidence in state institutions, eroding deep seeded corruption and giving life to coming generations in the form of water.
Though he is departing but has left a hope that his successor will not only complete his incomplete mission but will serve the people and humanity equal if not more and that the poor and powerless masses of Pakistan will get a redeemer.
His endowment to cause will have an impact for all to come; may his successor carry his legacy in the similar spirit. May Almighty continue showering endless blessings upon him and upon the people and most importantly, our motherland. – Pak Destiny
