Are we heading towards Punjabi and Sindhi courts

By Raza Ruman

Islamabad, July 25 (http://www.pakdestiny.com) We seem to have two judicial authorities in Pakistan. One appears to be in control of Nawaz Sharif in Punjab and other of Asif Zardari in Sindh.
The cases of property tycoon Malik Riaz and Ali Mosa Gilani, son of former premier Yousuf Raza Gilani, are a clear example to notice this impression rather ‘reality’.
Punjab’s courts rejected the bail plea of both Riaz and Mosa and subsequently issued their arrest warrants. They moved to Sindh and the courts there had them pre-arrest bail in the face of Punjab courts’ orders.
The message is very much clear – the PPP men will not get relief in Punjab ruled by the Sharifs.
Where is champion of rule of law, Iftikhar Chaudhy? Why he is not taking suo motu of this glaring division of courts in Punjab and Sindh or is he party to it? a question raised by many.
Sindh High Court issued arrest warrants of former IG Sindh Rana Maqbool but the Sharifs got it set aside through their court in Punjab and gave him a lucrative post in Punjab.
If this continues then we soon be having Punjabi, Sindhi and Balochi courts obliging to their men only. A wake up call for our so-called independent judiciary. – (http://www.pakdestiny.com)
