Islamabad, July 17 (Pak Destiny) While Saad Rafique had suggested to divert Dr Thirul Qadri’s plane, Ishaq Dar proposed to end PML-N Independence Day function at D Chowk well before the start of the PTI rally.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had earlier heeded Saad’s suggestion to divert Qadri’s plane to Lahore from Islamabad en route Dubai. On PTI’s long march rally, PM Sharif appreciated Dar’s suggestion and rejected the proposal of Pervaiz Rashid to hold the PML-N rally at D Chowk to clash with the PTI’s.
“The PML-N should hold rally at D Chowk but it should be concluded well before the start of the PTI’s one. Being a government, we should not opt for collision course,” Dar suggested in a meeting on handling the PTI long march call.
Pervaiz Rashid had suggested the PML-N would hold a rally at D Chowk Islamabad on Aug 14 thus not allowing Imran Khan to hold his rally there. Sharif did not find Pervaiz’s suggestion appropriate and preferred Dar’s one. – Pak Destiny
