Islamabad, June 23 (http://www.pakdestiny.com) Faisal Saleh Hayat, a staunch rival of Raja Pervez Ashraf, voted him to be elected as prime minister to secure his over Rs. 1 billion deals in the housing ministry.
Sources informed PakDestiny that Faisal landed in catch22 situation after the PPP nominated Rental Raja for the coveted slot.
Opposing Raja meant for Faisal losing all important ministry of housing. Being a housing minister in Gilani’s cabinet Faisal allegedly made multi-millions in several contracts and commissions and the PPP never minded.
“When Gilani was removed and his cabinet dissolved this week Faisal’s over Rs1 billion deals got stuck. To get them through he decided to vote for Raja,” a source said.
“Actually Faisal voted Raja for Rs1 billion. And it was in fact Rs 1 billion vote Raja bought through national exchequer,” he said.
Faisal has again proved that in Pakistan “you can buy everything – vote, honour, principles – from money. And the politicians are no more exceptions. (http://www.pakdestiny.com)
Dear Imran,
You mean ultimate bridge did the job, between two rivals “MONEY”.
No, I don’t think he took over the Ministry after Raja Rental’s becoming PM. But would have liked if he didnt vote for him. He did very well in exposing the whole rental scam and then going on to win the case in the SC as well. 3cheers for that and a booooo for voting for Raja
