Government considering detention of Imran to foil long march

Islamabad, July 12 (Pak Destiny) The government is seriously considering house of PTI chief Imran Khan to stop him from leading the long march towards Islamabad on Aug 14.
Sources said the kitchen cabinet of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had discussed this idea in a meeting held recently in Islamabad.
One minister who is considered to be very close to Nawaz proposed that Imran Khan should not be given free hand otherwise it would be very difficult for the government to deal with his supporters. He suggested Khan’s arrest a day before the long march to thwart the threat.
Another minister said the arrest of Mr Khan would reflect bad on PMLN and it be very difficult for it to justify this being a democratic government.
“Nawaz Sharif will make final decision in next meeting after consulting his younger brother Shahbaz Sharif before the long march,” the sources said.
PTI’s Sharin Mazari said her party would resist any such move. – Pak Destiny
