Islamabad (Pakdestiny) Imran Khan and Reham Khan have confirmed their marriage by not denying it.
“The reports of my marriage are greatly exaggerated,” the cricketer-turned politician tweeted on reports that he has contracted a ‘secret marriage’ with former BBC weather girl. But he did not deny his marriage with Rehman.
“In response to all the rumours about my marriage I want to say that I have, in the presence of my supporters, publicly expressed my wish to remarry. However, marriage cannot be entered into lightly. Second marriages especially need to be considered carefully as children are involved. Also, we are deeply saddened by the tragic massacre of our children in Peshawar. We are all in a state of mourning at present. It is only respectful that we wait for an appropriate time,” Imran Khan said in a statement.
This all shows – No Big Denial – from the chairman of PTI. Similarly, Reham Khan, now associated with DawnNnews, did not deny either. She only criticized Social Media for commenting on her marriage to Mr Khan but did not bother say – I am Not Married to Imran Kkhan – making people believe she is married to Imran.
Reham Khan, who is a divorced mother-of-three had lived in Britain for part of her previous marriage when she was a weather girl and a presenter on the BBC regional news programme ‘South Today’.
Rumours have been circulating for several months but when she frequently was seen interviewing Mr Khan during his party’s four-month long sit-in in Islamabad started on Aug 14.
Imran Khan’s ex-wife Jemima Goldsmith had earlier disclosed that she was ditching the surname ‘Khan’ and reverting to her family name because her ex-husband was about to remarry.
Mr Khan also told his supporters that he would remarry after building “New Pakistan”. Pak Destiny
