Islamabad (Pak Destiny) While Imran Khan has called former chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry a Mir Jaffar (traitor) of Pakistan judiciary, he is wondering as why the PML-N government is giving prime minister’s protocol to Jang/Geo media group owner Mir Shakilur Rehman despite he has been declared proclaimed offender by the courts. MSR in other words is the PM of the Pakistani media if Imran’s words are interpreted.
Sources said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has deputed Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid to provide foolproof security to MSR during his stay in Islamabad. He is here to sort out financial matters with the government to save his group which is facing severe financial crunch after its tussle with ISI.
On the other hand, it will not be out of place to say Pervaiz Rashid is on the beck and call of MSR. He earlier had gone to Dubai secretly to meet MSR to find a way of the Geo-ISI tussle.
A petition has also been filed in the high court to place MSR name on ECL. Interestingly, the court has not taken notice of VIP protocol being given to an accused (MSR). Imran Khan is exposing these double standards.
While the PML-N and Jang group has been ganged up against ISI, it appears the ISI will soon be subservient to the PML-N government if it comes of the present political crisis. Let’s see what ISI does to remain undefeated by a media group. All eyes are on the duel. – Pak Destiny
