Islamabad (Pak Destiny) While our ‘literate’ parliamentarians and civil society members are severely criticizing Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri sit-ins but they never dared to raise the issue of 30,000 students’ education hampered by illegal occupation of their institutions by the Punjab policemen in Islamabad. Isn’t it a big shame.
Name any big gun in the parliament, Khursheed Shah, Aitzaz Ahsan, Ahsan Iqbal, Mahmood Khan Achakzai or Chaudhry Nisar, none of the parliamentarians talked about the affected students of Islamabad. They are concerned about saving them in the face of the protests in Islamabad.
Today a large number of students held demonstration in Islamabad drawing the attention of the government towards closure of their institutions because of the policemen’s illegal occupation. The policemen have been staying in these schools since the sit-ins started over a month ago.
“It is a big crime on the part of the government, parliamentarians and civil society activists who never bothered to raise this serious issue of education of 30,000 students,” a senior journalist said. “Where is civil society members and NGO persons who generate millions for education cause but are ignoring the education of 30,000 students in Islamabad.” Who will retrieve their institutions from policemen, its a million dollar question. — Pak Destiny
