Potential exists to extend Pakistan and Australia mutual cooperation in education, agriculture and energy sectors, Pak envoy to Australia

   A reception was organized in Queensland Parliament of Australia to recognize the efforts of the Pakistani community in Queensland.

    Pakistan’s High Commissioner in Australia Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri was the chief guest.

    Greens Senator Penny-Allman Payne, Cr Angela Owen, James Martin MP Stretton, Dr. Ishtiaq Rashid, Syed Asgher Naqvi and community representatives participated in the event.    It was the first ever Pakistani community event organized in the Queensland Parliament building. Addressing at the occasion Zahid Hafeez Ch showed his interest to utilize the potential of cooperation between Pakistan and Australia in the fields of agriculture, education and energy.

    He mentioned that Pakistani expatriates in Australia are making excellent contributions in the fields of medicine, higher education and information technology. He also appreciated the Pakistan Australia Cultural Association (PACA) for providing representation to the Pakistani community in a multicultural society of Australia. He highlighted that the Pakistani High Commission office in Canberra and Counsel offices in Sydney and Melbourne are extending full support to Pakistani businessmen to promote Pakistani products in Australian markets. Senator Penny Allaman appreciated the role played by PACA during the covid to help the citizens of Queensland. President PACA Syed Asgher Naqvi highlighted the issues faced by the community and the role played by PACA in raising them at relevant forums. He also mentioned the initiatives taken by PACA to promote Pakistani culture and Urdu language in Australia. PAK DESTINY
