PTI terms three anchors notorious and demand action against them for murdering journalism ethics and morality

The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has boycotted three anchor persons —  Kamran Shahid of Dunya TV, Adil Shahzeb of Dawn TV and Muneeb Farooq of SAMA TV–  for conducting planted interviews of forcible disappeared leaders.

     The hopes these channels management, media bodies to reprimand the anchors for violating journalistic values and ethics

   The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced to boycott the three anchors Kamran Shahid, Adil Shahzeb and Muneeb Farooq for working as facilitators to the state kidnappers in their constitutional and unlawful act by conducting planted interviews of three forcibly disappeared leaders PTI in total defiance of journalistic values and ethics.

     A PTI spokesperson said that the PTI Core Committee approved the boycott of these three anchors who facilitated the state kidnappers by conducting planted interviews of the enforced disappeared PTI leaders Usman Dar, Sadaqat Abbasi and Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, who were later suddenly reappeared only after recording their interviews.

    He said that no representative of PTI would participate in the programs of these anchors who badly dented the sanctity of the noble journalistic profession in discharge of their duties.

The PTI expected that the media management and its affiliated journalists would abide by the constitution and law and the established journalistic values and ethics, he hoped.

     The PTI spokesperson pointed out that these three anchors conducted planted interviews in collaboration with the abductors of the forcibly disappeared leaders Usman Dar, Sadaqat Abbasi and Sheikh Rasheed.

   He underscored that the planted interview of the unconstitutionally and illegally disappeared citizens and politicians with facilitation of the state kidnappers was an attack on journalistic values and ethics and a criminal act.

   PTI spokesperson expressed optimism that the management of the channels and various organizations of journalists would not only condemn this unethical journalistic act but would also take action at their own level against these three anchors who were guilt of facilitating unlawful act by compromising the sanctity of journalism.

He made it clear that PTI would neither participate in any discussion or program with these three anchors as a protest, nor would cooperate with them in any way.

    Will these anchors show a bit of morality and ethics to defend themselves or resign if any courage or shame left in them. PAK DESTINY
