Why Prime Minister Imran Khan should not be labeled “Taliban Khan” when he talks about pardoning the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
TTP is accused of killing 144 children and teachers in APS attack in 2014. Why Mr Khan or Taliban Khan was so eager to pardon this group?
“There are different groups which form the TTP and some of them want to talk to our government for peace. So, we are in talks with them. It’s a reconciliation process,” he said during an interview with the Turkish TV TRT World on Friday.
“We forgive them if the lay down arms. We want them to become normal citizens”.
TTP is also involved in attacking Pakistan’s security forces. One wonders how come Khan even could think of pardoning these terrorists.
Earlier, President Arif Alvi asked PTI government consider giving an amnesty to those members of the TTP who had not remained involved in “criminal activities”.
If this happens it will be tragedy that TTP terrorists be given immunity to strike.
So if you don’t want to be called ‘Taliban Khan’ you should refrain from giving amnesty to TTP walas. PAK DESTINY
