Islamabad (Pak Destiny) Interestingly, some TV anchors have started openly siding with political parties.
So much so some of them have become mouthpiece of these parties ignoring the very fact that they are not party activists but program hosts.
Today in a strange act, Express TV anchors – Javed Chaudhry and Shahzeb Khanzada – acted as PML-N touts and hardcore PMLN activists by threatening PTI chairman Imran Khan to pack up and go home otherwise he couldn’t do politics to the rest of his life as the parliament is planning to declare him “traitor”. They said Khan had no idea as how he would suffer and people curse him if he is sent jail on treason charges.
One wonders how crazy these guys are? Have they had no idea that they are program hosts and by saying so they will be labelled as the “loyal servants of the Sharifs”.
It appears whether Sultan Lakhani has given these two poor anchors the line of licking the feet of the Sharifs or they are doing it in their love for the PMLN.
Its a big shame for the electronic media to have anchors openly threatening one political leader at the best of other. “The anchors are supposed to give their analysis and not threats.”
Lakhani should take notice of this if he doesn’t want to make his channel Geo and Javed Chaudhry and Shahzeb Khanzada, Ansar Abbasi and Hamid Mir respectively. – Pak Destiny
