(Pak Destiny) A man in his 20s came to see Chaudhry Zahoor Elahi to give him funds for his election campaign but faced disappointment to get answer in ‘big no’.
This young man none else but Nawaz Sharif. It was his first encounter with the Chaudhrys of Gujrat. In his book ‘Such to Ya Hai’ PML chief Chaudhry Shujaat said: “Nawaz Sharif who was in his 20s came to see his father on the order of his father Mian Sharif asking that if his party needed any funds.” Pervaiz Elahi who encountered Nawaz simply said: “we do not need funds… thank you”. Nawaz left for home.

Sheikh Rashid addressing the book launch ceremony said: “Pervaiz Elahi nay Nawaz ko jhandhi dikah di.” This shows the business minded Sharifs buying their way to power through such tactics. – Pak Destiny
