Will after Supreme Court grilled Prime Minister Imran Khan over the government’s proposed plan to strike with banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) which was involved in gruesome murder of 144 children and three teachers of the Army Public School (APS) Peshawar in 2014.
A three-judge bench — headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed, and comprising Justice Qazi Mohammad Amin Ahmed and Justice Ijazul Ahsan — called PM Khan who not only grilled the premier for his plans and directed him to implement a judicial commission’s report within four weeks in this regard.
The SC asked Khan are we going to surrender before the TTP terrorists? Interestingly through out his police career Imran Khan was labelled as “Taliban Khan”. The SC asked Khan to tell the people: “You are in power. The government is also yours. What did you do? You brought those guilty to the negotiating table. The satisfaction of the parents who lost their children in the APS attack is necessary.”
The decision to hold TTP factions was taken at a meeting of the federal cabinet presided over by Khan on Tuesday.
Khan needs to show more care to APS victims. He needs to go after the killers of the innocent children instead of sitting with those responsible for brutal act.
