Massive Pro-Palestine demonstration in The Hague — Dutch police arrest scores of protesters — “no justice, no peace.”

 By Zulqernain

A massive demonstration in support of Palestine took place this week in The Hague Netherlands, attended by hundreds of people.

The protest was organized by Palestinian organizations, several Dutch human rights groups, the Palestine Solidarity Committee Netherlands, and members of the local Dutch community.

Protesters raised slogans in support of the Palestinian people and demanded “Free Palestine,” “Stop the war,” “End the genocide,” and “Stop the bombing of Gaza.” They called for an end to Israel’s brutal occupation and oppression.

Participants gathered near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and marched to The Hague Central Station, where the protest continued until around 6:00 p.m. Protesters passionately chanted slogans, including:

Ms. Jacqueline, an active member of the Pro-Palestine Committee Netherlands, said in her address: “Israel is not a tourist state but an occupying power committing genocide in Palestine. Western countries must act immediately to stop this brutality.”

The protesters also called for a boycott of Israeli products.

Khawaja Mohammad Saeed, Chairman of the Palestine Solidarity Committee Netherlands, stated that the demonstration was completely peaceful and aimed at sending a clear message to the Dutch government:

“We will not accept Israel’s illegal occupation and atrocities in Palestine,” said Khawaja Saeed, who  originally from Lahore, Pakistan,

The peaceful demonstration turned violent when Dutch police moved in to disperse the crowd, arresting 205 protesters.

According to Khawaja Saeed, police used excessive force, including batons, resulting in many injuries.

He said: “Dutch police attacked a peaceful demonstration and used violence against human rights activists. This brutality is unacceptable and must be thoroughly investigated.”

The authorities, however, defended their actions, stating that any form of aggression or violence would not be tolerated and that suspects would be prosecuted swiftly, with prosecutors seeking harsher sentences than usual. PAK DESTINY
