Tabdeeli aa nahi rahi tabdeeli aa gai hai. A few days back this video of belly dance performed by a veiled girl in Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar. Belly dance is an Arabic expressive dance which originated in Egypt and that emphasizes complex movements of the torso. But the news is that it is performed in conservative part of Pakistan.
Some appreciated this “tabdeeli” but majority criticized it. Another person said that the university organizers should be “ashamed” to arrange such kind of event in an educational institution.
Event organizers are of the view that this dance was not included in the main event and this belly dance was performed after the event solely based on the students desire. Whatever was the reason behind performing belly dance in an education system but one thing is quite visible that “Tabdeeli Aa Gai Hai”. |PakDestiny
