Imran Khan's nominated Lahore police chief Umer Sheikh ousted his boss -- poor Buzdar sees helplessly

By Shoiab Wahab

What more embarrassment Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar can face when Prime Minister Imran Khan’s nominated Lahore police chief Umar Sheikh prevailed over Punjab police chief Shoiab Dastgir.

How come poor Buzdar could say a word to boss PM Khan that “I want to remove your pick” Umer Sheikh after he passed an insulting remark about IG Punjab Dastgir.

Buzdar is at least happy to stay in office. He never minds who is changed in Punjab bureaucracy as long he is not changed… and that matters much for Buzdar, whose sole competence to be picked for this office is that he is from poorest area of south Punjab – D.G. Khan.

In a notification, the Punjab government on Tuesday removed Shoaib Dastgir from the post of Inspector General of Police, the fifth IGP, changed in a span of two years of PTI.

In poor Buzdar’s two-year tenure, PM Khan changed five IG Punjab, four chief secretaries, 11 higher education secretaries, seven school and agriculture secretaries, five secretaries of services, food, livestock, environment and transport departments, and four secretaries of cooperative, excise and local body departments in Punjab.

PM Khan is running Punjab from Islamabad and Buzdar is a perfect man fit for the scheme of things. Buzdar is a show-piece and remote-controlled as portray by opposition.

But Buzdar should never mind… he is enjoying top protocol what else he is needed. — PAK DESTINY
