Frightened Shehbaz Sharif led government finally resorted to muzzle Imran Khan’s voice to save itself from the wrath of the masses that is after its scalp for unprecedented inflation.
The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) on Sunday stopped the broadcasting and rebroadcasting of speeches and press talks by PTI chief Imran Khan on all satellite TV channels with immediate effect. That is enough to read the frightened minds of the Sharifs and Zardaris…isn’t it?
The ban comes hours after Khan addressed party workers outside his Zaman Park residence in Lahore and said that he had never “bowed before any man or institution” and also targeted “Dirty Harry” for unleashing terror on PTI workers and leaders.
It seems Dirty Harry comment forced the government to impose ban on Khan.
PEMRA said that Imran, in his speeches and statements, was “leveling baseless allegations and spreading hate speech through his provocative statements against state institutions and officers which is prejudicial to the maintenance of law and order and is likely to disturb public peace and tranquility.
Interestingly PMLN chief organizer Maryam Nawaz who is openly targeting Supreme Court sitting judges and former CJP and army and ISI chiefs in her speeches, PEMRA is sleeping over it.
