Singer Meesha Shafi has to face yet another embarrassment when one of her witnesses in defamation case filed against her by singer-cum-actor Ali Zafar turned hostile against her.
Blogger Hamna Zubair on Tuesday told the court that she was in contact with Meesha Shafi and published a news story in Dawn.com in her favour and against Ali Zafar.
Hamna started sweating during her cross examination in the defamation suit filed by Zafar against Shafi for defaming him.
Hamna told the court about publication of her article in Dawn.com saying “it was correct that after the allegations of Shafi, Zafar was painted a harasser.”
Interestingly Hamna was grilled for telling a lie in court that she never received a notice from FIA to defame Ali Zafar on social media.
In fact she not only received the notice but also tender an apology in the FIA for her defaming of Zafar.
She is also facing a case in FIA along with Meesha Shafi and others.
