Makeup artist Leena Ghani has to bite the dust as she could not present a single evidence to her sexual harassment allegation against singer-actor Ali Zafar in the Sindh High Court.

Being a new pawn of singer Meesha Shafi make-up artist Leena Ghani’s Rs500 million damages/defamation suit against Ali Zafar got a blow in the court because of want of evidence.

Leena’s counsel requested the court for restraining order against Ali Zafar, which was not granted by the court.

However, the court asked Leena’s Counsel to show the defamatory material, which amounts to defamation but she couldn’t.

On the court’s query, Leena’s counsel referred to The Guardian’s Article. However no defamatory material was pointed out.

The judge again asked Leena’s counsel to show defamatory material against Leena.

Leena’s counsel then referred to blogger Mehwish Ajaz tweet dated 20.12.2020 and 15.8.2020 but again was not able to show any defamatory material by Ali Zafar.

The judge again asked Leena’s counsel to show defamatory material against Leena.

Leena’s counsel then referred to Transcript of ARY NEWS show but failed to point out any defamatory material against Leena. Leena’s counsel requested the court to ask Ali Zafar’s counsel whether Ali want to defame Leena? On which the Honorable judge observed that “Ok I will ask them but if they deny your defamation claim should I dismiss your Case?”

The Honourable Judge directed Ali Zafar to file counter affidavit.

At this point, Ali Zafar’s counsel point out that the case is already fixed the case for 12.03.2021. However, the judge observed that counter affidavit has to be filed till Feb 15, 2020 and then the application will be decided.

It appears that Leena will have to seek apology from Ali Zafar. She is also facing FIR at FIA Cybercrime Lahore for launching a smear campaign against Ali Zafar on social media.
