Finally the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has taken notice of ‘crass comments’ of ‘Meray Pass Tum Ho’ fame ‘a so-called literate’ Khalilur Rehman Qamar about activists Marvi Sarmad.
The dirty language used by Qamar for Ms Sarmad was allowed by Neo TV anchor Ayesha Ehtesham to go on air apparently to have ‘good rating’.
In the backdrop of Aurat March, Khalilur Rehman Qamar said: “What’s in your (Marivi) body? Who the hell are you — go look at your body and face; no one even wants to spit on it. Don’t talk in the middle, don’t talk in between the lines.
What is your body, bibi? Don’t talk no bloody nonsense. You bloody shut up. Bi–ch!” Marvi responded — “mera jism, meri marzi (my body, my choice)”.
It was sad to see that Neo TV owned by a right winger let the offensive and abusive comments go on air .. wjat a shame. To add insult to injury, another shmaless creature Veena Malik called Marvi a ‘genda’. What a shame this ‘porn star’ Veena should be ashamed of her dirty comments.

Similarly social media is abuzz by criticism of this shamful stuff – Qamar — who has not tenddered apology. The Pemra on Wednesday issued a show-cause notice to Neo channel for this episode.
“Please accept my sincere apology on the incident which happened yesterday on our screen. Being Head of NEO NEWS I am extremely sorry for that and strict action will be taken. We condemn the behaviour of Khalil Qamar,” said Naseerullah Malik, the Executive Director of the channel in question.
