Moonis Elahi suggests to Buzdar government how to handle patients with mild and severe Covid-19 symptoms

By Irum Saleem

PMLQ senior leader MNA Moonis Elahi has suggested to the Punjab government to allow Covid-19 patients to go into self isolation in their homes and only treat critical patients in public hospitals.

Through this Mr Moonis believes that not only the burden on the public hospitals will reduce but also there be good management of mild corona virus patients at homes and the public hospitals will fully concentrate the patients with severe corona symptoms.

Mr Moonis says: “We believe that we will come out of this corona debacle successfully. We don’t think this nation will allow anyone to die of hunger.”

In a tweet Mr Moonis said: “Government of Punjab should allow positive #COVID2019 patients to self isolate in their homes and only shift them to hospitals when they develop serious symptoms. Many are avoiding tests due to fear of being dragged off. We don’t have enough hospital beds. @UsmanAKBuzdar”.
It is expected that the Buzdar administration will implement this proposal for the sake of the corona patients and medics.
Mr Moonis says: “We believe that we will come out of this corona debacle successfully. We don’t think this nation will allow anyone to die of hunger.”
“We have enough food for all. The issue is only of unequal distribution. We produce 45 % of our fuel requirements. We import more than we export, which means we will be be saving foreign exchange on that account. If we can withstand this onslaught for two weeks; hopefully we will overcome the disease burden which is not as bad as in the developed world,” the PML parliamentarian says.

Mr Moonis further says may be younger population is an edge. So please keep your fingers crossed and take best possible care of your family by staying at home and from it all.” Pak Destiny
