(Pak Destiny) Former president Pervez Musharraf has assembled ‘tanga parties’… one wonder’s on whose signal and on whose’s expectations. If it is his own attempt to return to mainstream politics and power by forging an alliance of 23 parties then he must be living in a fool’s paradise.
Interestingly several of the members of the so-called grand alliance of Musharraf have expressed their surprise at their inclusion in the group.
Musharraf says he will return the country to his version of enlightened moderation, with his new alliance roping together the left and the right of the political spectrum. If only the people could understand that he knows what is best for them. But one wonders will he again dare to return in the face of numerous cases he is facing here.
Musharraf’s alliance is just the latest in a long line of peripheral political entities either cobbled together by or vying for the support of the establishment. All such instances, the voter has proved too savvy to fall for the naked political manipulation.
His critics say ‘shame’ alone should have prevented Mr Musharraf from trying yet again — his stint in power was a disaster for the country and the institution he once led.
Even PML-N taunts him asking him to appear on TV and name the parties that are in alliance with him. If he does so PML-N will salute him. – Pak Destiny
mr mushrraf u may be right in forming alliance but that will bring nothing good to pak
its a failed alliance even it hasn’t formed yet
tanga parties can’t even win a single seat in elections
I salute Pervez Musharraf and his constructive work for Pakistan. He is the one who can save Pakistan.
Musharraf says new alliance can beat PPP, PML-N. Is he mentally alright?
