PML-Q senior leader and Punjab Assembly Speaker Parvez Elahi has given a valuable suggestion to Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Mr Elahi has advised Mr Khan to have a “big heart and stop pursuing political cases” and focus on other major issues like price hike, inflation and unemployment.
He said there was no point in running after political cases.
Giving his own example, Mr Elahi said during his tenure as Punjab chief minister (2002-07) he allowed the Sharif family to continue their business. “Even Gen Musharraf got annoyed but I told Hamza not to worry and continue the family business.” Both Elder Sharifs were in exile by that time.
The Chaudhrys of Gujrat who are know for their big hear in politics have already asked PM Khan to let Nawaz Sharif go for his treatment in London.
The Chaudhrys have also played a vital role in ending Maulana Fazlur Rehmn sit-in.
There are rumours that Mr Elahi is being made Punjab chief minister.
Let’s see if Imran Khan follows the wise advice of the Chaudhrys and focus on other main issues the country is facing today. Pak Destiny
