(Pak Destiny) While ruling PML-N has opted to ‘keep mum’ on the new US policy belittling Pakistan’s efforts on war against terrorism, PML-Q took to streets and put up a big show reminding US President Donald Trump of resilience of Pakistanis during testing times.

‘Istehkam (stability) Pakistan’ rally which was taken out from the Muslim League House to the US Consulate yesterday with a pledge that Pakistanis are ready to shed the last drop of their blood for protection of their homeland.

Addressing the rally Moonis Elahi has pledged to fight for stability of the country and not anyone succeed in its designs against Pakistan.

PML-Q Punjab Assembly parliamentary leader Moonis Elahi who was of late away from the political scene chose to lead the rally at the time when its rival faction’s ruling Sharif family members were not willing to dare to even say a word against the US policy which is deemed anti-Pakistan. What to talk about taking out a single rally the PML-N leadership especially Nawaz Sharif even did not bother to issue a statement condemning Trump’s statement describing Pakistan not trustworthy in war on terror and ‘harbor of terrorists’.

On Wednesday a large number of PML-Q workers, lawyers, women, clerics and students marched on the US Consulate from the Muslim League House. They were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans such as ‘US pro-India policies unacceptable’, ‘We reject US-India alliance against Pakistan’ and ‘Pakistanis are united’. Participants also shouted slogans against the US and India and demanded the N-League government adopt a strong stance in the face of the US anti-Pakistan policy and shun its cowardice.

On Wednesday a large number of PML-Q workers, lawyers, women, clerics and students marched on the US Consulate from the Muslim League House.

Emotional scenes were also witnessed in the rally as the PML-Q workers, especially women, were charged up, strongly demanding both government and opposition develop a consensus in parliament on the issue so that the world would know all Pakistanis were united when it came to sovereignty of their country.

Addressing the rally Moonis Elahi has pledged to fight for stability of the country and not anyone succeed in its designs against Pakistan.

“Through this rally we want to tell the world that the people here are united for defending their motherland. We will not compromise on the sovereignty of the country and reject the anti-Pakistan policy,” he said.

Moonis said the PML had created Pakistan and would defend its ideology. “We will not hesitate to sacrifice more for the protection of our motherland. We have laid down thousands of lives in war on terrorism and will continue doing so till the elimination of the last terrorist from our soil,” he added.

Maryam Nawaz should muster some courage to take out one rally against the US’ anti-Pakistan policy. But perhaps she will not like her father.

Mr Elahi further said we need to give a strong response to those belittling our sacrifices on war against terrorism. “Let me tell you… Pakistanis are on the same page and ready to render more sacrifices for the country but will not compromise on its sanctity and sovereignty,” the scion of the Chaudhrys of Gujrat said.

Perhaps the Sharif family members most of them are in London for one reason or another may take a cue from its rival faction and dare to speak against anti-Pakistan policy.

Maryam Nawaz who is running NA-120 Lahore by-poll exhaustive campaign for her mother Begum Kulsoom who is getting treatment of throat cancer in London should muster some courage to take out one rally against the US’ anti-Pakistan policy. But perhaps she will not like her father. – Pak Destiny
