Although some powerful influential persons in ruling PTI managed to send Lahore police chief home voices are being raised in his favour on social media for waging a war against land mafia.
A number of people whose plots and houses were retrieved from the land mafia by Umer Sheikh are making a demand to Prime Minister Imran Khan to look into the matter to find out who got him transferred on which ground.
In a video which got viral on social media, a woman said that for the last two years the brother of an SP refused to pay rent. She said on her application Sheikh got her house vacated in 15 days.
Similarly, Umer Shiekh had laid a hand on powerful land mafia of Lahore — Khokhar brothers and many others.
It was a shame that Chief Minister Usman Buzdar instead of protecting him was used at the hands of his principal secretary Tahir Khursheed.
Although Sheikh forewarned Buzdar about conspiracies against him hatched by the CM’s principal secretary but poor Buzdar acted like a puppet.
Although Umer Sheikh was subjected to criticism after motorway incident but he was all admired for his crusade against land mafia.
Samar Hanif comments on Twitter: “This superman (Umer Sheikh) is a legend who was creating history in the betterment of the people and cleaning crime each day in Lahore. He was one of a kind that comes after decades, an honest and upfront individual.”
