Who is behind Shehbaz government's move to ban PTI

By Irum Saleem

The Shehbaz Sharif government’s decision to  ban Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf  (PTI) as a political party shows how mentally disturbed both Sharif brothers are on the rising popularity of Imran Khan who has simply buried their politics.

Nawaz Sharif, the president of PMLN, even could not win his own NA seats in Lahore but it was managed to make him win.

Reasons cited by Information Minister Attaullah Tarar are that id Cypher Case & US Congressional Resolution on electoral rigging & politically motivated cases with no merit in sight.

“PMLN is shooting it’s own foot with these reasons as former Prime Minister Imran Khan is acquitted in Cypher Case and the US congressional resolution points out the ordeal a political party had to face over the period of a few months,” believes the PTI.

Recently a verdict by Supreme Court also endorsed PTI as a largest party in National Assembly.

The PTI says the puppet government doesn’t realise , UN resolution wasn’t a bilateral agreement but an independent observation made by a charter, Pakistan is a part of.

Pakistan is a signatory of UN and therefore any provocative comments could lead to Pakistan losing its membership.

It says the information minister ignored all questions regarding US UN working group observations , may be because, he’s either unaware of its implications or just doesn’t have a clue.

“This is a sign of panic as they have realised the courts can’t be threatened and put under pressure . So they will try to move under cabinet. Since no judge is will to give into blackmail or pressure. I have been saying for a while now we are under a soft martial law and this move only proves our point further,” PTI leader Zulfi Bokhari said.

    PTI spokesperson Raoof Hasan says

the govt’s desire to ban PTI a desperate attempt to hide embarrassment.

The PTI termed the mandate thief government’s desire to ban the party as a desperate attempt to cover up its embarrassment after the Supreme Court’s (SC) historic decision regarding the reserved seats.

Reacting to Attaullah Tarar’s press conference, PTI spokesperson declared that they would respond to every conspiracy of the mandate thieves and their patrons with public support at all level and they would not be allowed to succeed in their nefarious designs.

He stated that the petrified and defeated criminal group wanted to scare 240 million people through coercion, intimidation and harassment, but PTI was not a party to be intimidated.

PTI spokesperson made it clear that Pakistan was not a fiefdom created as a result of an undeclared martial law rather it was the home of 240 Pakistanis and a state subject to the constitution.

He vowed that they had fought and would continue to battle the elements, who were hell-bent to plunge the country into the quagmire of destruction and anarchy by giving their wish the status of law on every front.

PTI spokesperson reminded that they should bear in mind that not a fugitive of Jati Umra in the field, whose platelets suddenly dropped, but a patriotic, fearless and principled leader of 240 million people in the field, adding that political parties were the voice of the people, and a guarantor of the unity, solidarity and development of a country.

PTI spokesperson stated that it was neither possible to crush the most popular political party with blind force nor could expect any positive outcomes from it.

He made it clear that the people entitled to be tried under Article 6 were quite obvious and their fate would also be decided by the people.

PTI Spokesperson highlighted that every independent and impartial domestic and foreign organization ranging from the United Nations, the US Congress, the Human Rights Council to Amnesty International, were raising their voice against the rampant violations of basic human rights in the country.

He pointed out that the Hamoodur Rahman Commission and all the investigations after the fall of East Pakistan were evidence that the evil desire to crush the popular political party and the elected public leadership were the main contributors to the tragic accident of history.

The PTI  stressed that instead of repeating historical mistakes and setting records of folly, the mandate thief should realize that the national interest could be best safeguard and protected through seriousness, integrity, and reform of thought and action. PAK DESTINY
