(Pak Destiny) Will the Supreme Court ban TV anchor Dr Shahid Masood for life time if his startling claim that the killer of Zainab and other seven girls in Kasur is part of international racket of pornography in which a powerful minister and a politician is involved.

Shahid Masood in his show had alleged that Zainab’s suspected rapist and murderer (Imran Ali, 23) was a member of a pornography gang which also includes a Punjab minister. Masood and Punjab additional advocate general Asma Hamid were both present in court during Thursday’s hearing.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar advised the anchorperson to write down the names of the provincial minister and another high-up he had mentioned during his show. Masood wrote the names  on a piece of paper to the CJP.

Dr. Shahid Masood said Imran Ali has 37 foreign currency bank accounts, and the backing of the country’s most important personality and a minister.

A three-judge bench, headed by the CJP, watched footage of Masood’s TV show in court and advised the Punjab Inspector General of Police Arif Nawaz Khan and a joint investigation team (JIT) to probe the evidence provided by the anchorperson.

Masood said Imran Ali has 37 foreign currency bank accounts, and the backing of the country’s most important personality and a minister.

Geo News reported that Imran had no account to his name in any bank.

It appears Masood’s claim is dubious. “If Masood fails to prove his claim will the SC ban him for life time,” asks a senior journalist. He said Massod has habit of breaking ‘fake’ news but always got away with it. Now all eyes are on SC what it does after teh investion into Shahid Masood’s claims. – Pak Destiny
