Big "tax thieves" found in PTI ranks, what will become of 'tax chor' slogan?

By Sarmad Ali

The big ‘tax chor (thieves)’ have been found in the ranks of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) whose narrative was built on ‘chor chor and chor’.

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday released its 2018 tax directory for parliamentarians.

It shows that the lawmakers who did not pay any taxes during 2018 are Federal Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda (who is known for placing army boot on the show of Kashif Abbasi), Minister for Climate Change Zartaj Gul (known for 19 points of Covid-19) PTI Senator Faisal Javed (a stage secretary of Imran Khan who was awarded senatorship for making loud slogans) and Wasim Akram Plus of Imran Khan Punjab CM Usman Buzdar who belongs to a very poor area.

Will such politicians stop lecturing the people on paying taxes and calling others tax chor. As they themselves evade taxes and make big money.

So this practice fooling others will continue. Interestingly Minister for Economic Affairs Khusro Bakhtiar paid tax amount was Rs624,292. To the much surprise of everyone Bakhtiar has allegedly made Rs100bn. NAB is investigating his huge wealth. Let’s see if he is made accountable. PAK DESTINY
