Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry’s suo motu into the alleged corruption of his son Dr Arsalan was a ‘planned anticipatory move’ and journalists Hamid Mir, Kamran Khan and Ansar Abbasi were on board with him in this respect, reliable sources in judiciary told pakpestiny
After learning that his spoiled son had received millions of rupees from property tycoon Malik Riaz against assurance that he would be given relief in Bahria Town cases, CJ Iftikhar reportedly asked his bunch of sympathizers in media to raise the issue (without evidence) so that a ground could be made for a suo motu.
The champions of journalism – Hamid Mir and Kamran Khan – then did programmes without having any evidence.
But when the champion of free judiciary Justice Chaudhry called them in court to present proof they simply said they did the programmes on ‘hearsay’.
Justice Chaudhry who apparently spares no for his or her wrongdoings irrespective of his or her position suddenly changed his heart and mind for both anchors for playing a “bluff” in their programmes. The CJ happily let them go scot free for not presenting any proof before to him about his son’s alleged corruption.
It shows both anchors did so on the instruction of the CJ otherwise he could have ordered stopping them from hosting programmes for a certain period or even sent them behind the bar for doing highly insensitive programme leveling allegations against his son’s alleged corruption without evidence.
Actually the CJ wanted that before the corruption story of his son started appearing in Western media he anticipates it before hand.
So much so the CJ’s media adviser Ansar Abbasi ran a false interview of Malik Riaz in Jang and The News in favour of the CJ.
Malik Riaz’s counsel advocate Zahid Bokhari told reporters that “it was fabricated interview of Malik Riaz”. The CJ should take notice of it and summons its author, he said. But Bokhari does not know Abbasi who had played a dirty role in defaming former CJ Hameed Dogar’s daughter Farah in marks scandal is on forefront to save the criminal son of his boss and even he will not let his other master Malik Riaz to be hurt in the whole drama because he and his other colleagues in different media groups have got numerous financial benefits from Riaz. If our readers have any doubt on this claim please read Abbasi’s ‘fabricated’ interview of Riaz published in daily Jang and The News on June 8.
“Please stop playing saints and let the people see your real faces,” a senior journalist has requested his these colleagues. (http://www.pakdestiny)
